After a brief (long) hiatus, we’ve got around to doing some tidying on the Mopho Control app. Newly added features are shift options for the sequencer. You can now shift the sequencer left, right, up, down and flip it horizonally.
We’re considering adding a feature to load and save sequencer presets.
There are a couple of things to check on your DSI Mopho synth to ensure you can control it from the Mopho Control app. Please confirm these settings if you are having trouble getting the app to work.
1. Make sure the synth is set to receive NRPN by setting MParam Rec to either All or NRPN.
2. Make sure the MIDI channel is the same on both the app and the device.
3. If you want the app to update when controls on the device are moved, make sure that MParam Send is set to NRPN.
If, for any reason, you are still unable to control the synth please contact us via our support email.
This latest release will include the following enhancements:
1. MIDI Channel configuration
You will now be able to specify the MIDI channel the Mopho Control send/receives on allowing the app to play nicely in a more complex MIDI setup. Full MIDI interface configuration will follow in a later release.
2. The Mopho Control will now respond to sysex dumps from the X4. Please note that we do not have an X4 available for testing so this implementation is purely from the manual. Please report any inconsistencies.
We’re delighted to say that Mopho Control is now available on the app store! This first version covers just the basic functionality but we have many ideas for improvement. If you have any specific feature requests please get in touch.
Our first priority is to add full midi port configuration and then sequencer reset/rest. After that we have a number of ideas waiting!!
Our first DSI synth control app, Mopho Control has now been submitted for review to the App Store!
